Beautiful Woman Beautiful Skin

When we speak of natural skin care, it refers to caring for the skin using the power of natural ingredients like fruits, herbs and even vegetables. As our skin is not synthetic, there is nothing man-made that could beat the desirable effects of natural beauty.

Most people lack knowledge on the skin type they have and as a result most are not fully aware of the right natural ingredients to be applied to enhance the beauty and radiance of the skin akin to those of movie stars. As the face is the primary thing we look at the person, it is imperative to take care of it well. With good skin, you can boost your self-confidence and physical image.

I am presenting here some natural ways of caring for your beloved skin. With a good desire for beautiful skin and some common sense, you can be on your way to that radiance in no time at all.

Idea 1: Adequate water intake and exercise routine are two bestfriends for your skin. With these two amazing factors going hand in hand, you are already half of your goal. Drinking adequate amount of water is very essential for skin’s health. The recommended allowance is around 8 full glasses a day but it should be higher during hot days or in summer. A regular exercise routine is also vital for overall and skin health. Personally, I am doing brisk walking for 1 hour for three to four times a week. With enough water and regular exercise, your skin will really glow!

Idea 2: Practice regular detoxification of your skin. This is just actually simple cleansing using natural ingredients which you can easily find in your kitchen or you may choose to purchase herb-based face and body wash. If you prefer fresh, you can use lemon or any citrus fruits blended with cereal or brown sugar for cleansing and exfoliation. Do the facial cleaning at least twice a day and the body cleansing at least 3 times per week.

Idea 3: Lemon and egg skin tightening. I am using this formula at least once a week most especially on a relaxing Sunday when I am free of any job or business pressures. In fact, I almost converted my house into a spa because of the many formulas and ingredients I am into. Aside from tightening, this natural formula also cleanses and protects the skin. And this is quite simple. Just beat one egg white until the whip becomes consistently up. Chill for around 30 minutes then applied into the skin including the face. Let stay for another 30 minutes.

Idea 4: Smooth radish feel. Another of my skin care favorite is radish. Buy one piece of radish and 3 spoons of vinegar together with 2 spoons lemon juice. Blend in some drops of honey and mix all the ingredients using sterilized water. Apply into the skin anytime you want to.

Idea 5: Eat balanced and healthy meals. Say no to greasy food as bad fats are enemies of your skin – most especially if you are blessed with oily skin. Focus your diet to fruits and vegetables as these foods are proven to very effective in fighting the free radicals which could damage your skin and make you look older than your real age. Also don’t forget to use sun protection sunscreen whenever you are out under the heat of the sun.

Idea 6: Wear a happy and positive disposition as much as possible. A person who is happy has an enhanced immune system which in turn encourages the skin to glow in radiant health.

I hope you learn something from this post. Let’s care for the largest organ of our body – the skin – the natural way!

Let’s Go Organic: The Best Skin Care Battlecry

National Organic Program

National Organic Program

As the consuming public is demanding for greener and safer alternatives to chemical and toxic laden products, the skin care industry is changed upside down or at least tilted towards natural and organic ingredients. And why it should not be? We should realize that we humans are part and parcel of nature so it just logical to use the power of nature even in our skin care practices. As the saying goes, “why go for artificial if there are natural ways to do it?”

Organic skin care is considered to be the best and most natural way of taking good care of our skin. In fact, there is no question that organic skin care was the first and the original way used by the ancient people in enhancing and keeping their skin young and supple. Using organic skin care has many benefits – it is nutrient-dense and as such very friendly to the skin and of course, preparing it at home will make it cheap. With its amazing antibacterial and antiseptic properties, organic skin care is effective in preventing and treating many skin disorders. Definitely, this is the way to go if you want healthy, clean, vibrant, flawless and young-looking skin all over.

When we talk organic, we refer to natural and fresh fruits and vegetables as these are mixed and formulated for external application. For instance, cucumber is very popular in organic skin care programs. Other natural produce like turmeric, apple, papaya, and ginger are also beneficial for the skin. Based on my personal experience, these organic substances have very stimulating and energizing dermal effects. As each person is unique and has different skin conditions and needs, it is recommended that you seek more information on your skin type and experiment with assorted natural materials that could produce the effects you long for. Just remember to always go for fresh and organically farmed fruits or vegetables for optimal benefits. And never use rotten ones just for the sake of saving cost – it is good for the waste bin but bad for your skin!

Milk is identified to have first-class cleansing properties and as if to acknowledge this fact, numerous skin care brands are tagging along the word “milk” in their packaging. You may combine oatmeal with milk for use as an amazing facial and body cleanser.

Ground oatmeal is particularly excellent for oily skins and is a fashionable element in any organic skin care procedure.  Other ingredients like egg, honey, milk and fruits can be easily mixed with it especially for those awesome facial packs.

Wheat germ is one more important ingredient. Because of its rich Vitamin E content, it is good for both exfoliation and keeping skin moisture. Wheat germ can also be mixed with other equally organic materials for facial masks – good for normal to dry skin. Oil can also be extracted from wheat germ.

Yogurt and sour cream are part of the organic club and is also utilized for their skin exfoliation and moisturising actions.

Organically produced honey is another very good ingredient as it facilitates the preservation of skin moisture and makes the skin glow in vibrancy.

As for toning the skin, we enlist the help of rose water as well as lavender water. After cleaning the skin, it is necessary for you to use toner to keep it tight and supple to touch.

We now see that if we are willing to go for organic skin care regimen, we have to mix and combine different organic ingredients having complimentary properties. As one of the law of nature, synergy could help us in getting that healthier and smoother skin.

Give your skin the wonderful treatment it deserves! Let us go organic!

Suffering From Constipation?

Suffering Constipation

Suffering Constipation

Are you suffering from constipation? It would be 100% safe to assume that all of us know constipation by virtue of experience. It is then not a wonder why constipation is by far the most common gastrointestinal condition. This malady happens when there is an abnormality in the movement of food and its waste in the digestion system. To be specific and clear, this is the medical definition of constipation:

Constipation is a condition either acute or chronic by which the frequency of  bowel movements is  less often than usual and/or may consist of  dry, hard stools making the pass difficult or painful. Generally, an adult can be considered constipated if there is no bowel movement within three days; for a child it could be around four days.”

Of course, to avoid constipation, we should know what are the things that caused it in the first place. Are there any foods that we must avoid or at least consume minimally? On the other hand, what are the foods that could help our body fight off constipation?

What causes constipation? On the average, constipation may mean that you are moving less than three times for a week. Aside from the frequency, it could be accompanied by some degree of pain and difficulty. In today’s society and with the kind of diet we are pursuing, the most common factor for constipation is the lack of fiber in our diet. Our body needs an ideal of 30g per day but almost all of us are not reaching even half of that need. Aside from fiber, we also need adequate intake of water. Lack of water consumption is another big contributor to constipation. Furthermore, factors like sedentary lifestyle and stress are noted to also cause constipation. It is unfortunate that instead of fighting the causes, a lot of people are using the shortcut method to get rid of constipation – by means of the very popular over-the-counter laxatives.

Foods rich in dietary fiber. We must be sourcing fiber from our everyday diet. It must be noted that refined food products are empty of the much needed fibers, therefore it would be wise to avoid them as much as possible. Recommended foods are wholemeal bread, corn, brown rice, wholewheat pasta and flakes. Other common sources are vegetables, fruits, nuts, potatoes and pulses.

To get rid of constipation, we have to remember that it is something not beyond our control. If you can control some aspects of your diet and lifestyle, then it is very much easy to avoid getting constipated. Here are some points to remember:

  • Consume more dietary fiber as much as possible by eating wholefood products, potatoes, pulses, vegetables, fruits plus some teas could also help.
  • Our body needs enzymes out of eating raw foods – so make it a point to eat uncooked or unheated fruits and vegetables.
  • Plan some form of exercise on a regular basis – actually this is good not only for avoiding constipation but also for your over-all health.
  • As our body is made up mostly of water, we need to drink more of this stuff in its fresh and unadulterated form.

Constipation can be avoided and in fact is a signal from your body that you lack something which could make your body really healthy. Heed that warning and you will not regret your walk towards the path of health.

Beautiful Glowing Skin

Beautiful Glowing Skin

As people are getting more and more specific and demanding on the way they look, the demand for health and beauty products surged. It can never be denied that millions are spending their money on products like age-defying creams, exfoliating lotions, natural vitamins for the skin and many more. As the beauty and wellness industry diversify, consumers may now opt to have surgical procedures or skin treatments using the latest technology in skin care. Well, all these things just showed how people are valuing their skin. As the largest organ of the body and the most visible part, there is no question that taking good care of it will have long-term and interdependent effects on a person’s overall health and well-being.

On the basic level, we must understand that to have a really healthy glowing skin is only possible with proper and balanced nutrition. As the saying goes, we are what we eat. And naturally, our skin do reflects what we take into our system internally. I am presenting here basic useful tips that could help defy our age. Practice these and put them into habit and you will reap the benefits your skin might be looking for.

1. The importance of hydration. We need water all over our body and our skin is no exemption. As a matter of fact, our skin is composed of 70% water. Nobody will question that water is the necessary blood of life. It hydrates our skin all over. On the other hand, dehydration causes unhealthy damage to the skin. So how important is water? Water is the one responsible in transporting all the nutrients and oxygen to all the cells of our body. It is not surprising then why we always hear people telling it over and over again that we have to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water or at least enough amount of water according to your needs and condition. The water content of your skin cells will tell you how moist or supple your skin can be. The most basic of skin care is really the prevention of dry skin. Having a dry skin can make you more prone from bad skin conditions like scaling, irritation and break-outs which we can actually avoid by following good healthy habits.

2. The role of antioxidants. Popular vitamins like A, C and E can be taken for their antioxidant effects. Antioxidants help protect skin from premature aging attributed to free radicals. Free radicals are formed from exposure to stress, first-hand and second-hand smoking or environmental pollution as well as inadequate nutrition. And all these unhealthy factors can wreak damages on our skin.

Getting right amount of Vitamin A can promote growth of healthy skin cells. So eat a lot of foods rich in Vitamin A. As a simple guide, look for the brightest and deepest red, orange and dark colored fruits and vegetables in the market – the darker they are the healthier they are for your skin and body.
Studies now confirmed of the role of Vitamin C in cell regeneration. It is not a wonder why a lot of beauty products are now incorporating Vitamin C into their formula. In its basest form, Vitamin C is an ascorbic acid found naturally and abundantly in most fruits and vegetables like papaya, guava, mangoes and oranges.

Known specifically as the beauty vitamin, Vitamin E is another antioxidant touted to have anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. It has the capacity to improve moisture, enhance smoothness and provide sun protection. Vitamin E can protect your skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays, prevent cell damage and helps in cell-to-cell communication effectively.
What are the things that could effectively accelerate skin damage? This is very simple question. Alcohol, smoking, inadequate sleep and excessive stress all can lead to skin damage. All these bad habits suffocate the skin and rob collagen resulting into the formation of wrinkles in the skin.

Getting a younger and healthy skin need not be expensive. You have the option to drench and load yourself with balanced diet of vegetables, fruits and vegetable oils. Be the envy of others by making your skin glowing and supple. Make the right decision to incorporate right nutrition to your life.

Your skin is your show window to the whole world!
