The researchers concluded that people taking the viniyoga-style class has tendency for faster back pain relief compared to those in the standard exercise class. And they further noted that even people just using a self-help yoga book had comparably better results.
At the end of the study period, the standard exercise group also showed some improvements. Nonetheless, the concluding review notes that generally those who are in yoga were taking significantly less than half pain medication as those in the standard exercise cluster.
Yoga successfully helped the back pain sufferers to better conscious of their postures that could have the primary reason for their back predicaments in the first place.
